10 painfully obvious truths everyone forgets too soon What opened my other eye? This is a poem that my daughter wrote when she was 13. Out of her diary - Lauren didn't believe in our education system.. She refused to go to school and had her own vision. - Now a very successful Corporate Insurance Manager, and a very successful Entrepreneur she gave me quite a few stressful moments while she was growing up! Little lost souls blinded by fiction Playing into your misconception Being led by you in the wrong direction That was always your dream Artistic souls on a creative mission Subliminal messages in their vision Tainted is their education In the name of money Fed by a phony education dripped ideas of misconception living in a democracy within a nation How laughable Little lost souls full of worry Always mediocre yet always in a hurry And feeling always guilty, always sorry Wishing their lives away
